SUMMER News
The river is experiencing a nice, gentle flow rate, and it's time to enjoy all the beautiful scenery that surounds you. After some very unseasonal weather, the sun is shining, the temperature is heating up, and hopefully the strong winds are gone!
It's the simple pleasures ...warmer days, special sunrises and sunsets, stunning cloud formations, prolific bird life, shimmering starry skies - it doesn't get much better!
The boats have been nice and steady over the last few months and are ramping up for busy summer school holidays and into 2026.. It really is a sensational time to be on the river, and we also offer the option to stay moored at our lovely riverbank too, and embrace the opportinity to experience floating accommodation without having to leave the marina. This also gives you the chance to discover more of the Riverland by car during the day, and sleep on the water at night!
It is also the time to plan your autumn and winter adventures, so over the Christmas gatherings, start chatting and plotting to enjoy some river time in the new year...
Remember that spending time on the river is the best way to bring some peace and balance back to your life, to be at one with nature and have a very special self contained holiday - and as Cosi from South Aussie with Cosi says, "everyone should enjoy a houseboat holiday at least once in their lives!".
With our best wishes Miriam & Co.
PLEASE NOTE:
*We check phone messages and emails regularly, but there may be slight delays in reponse times as we work on the riverbank getting the houseboats ready for our next crews!
*All host fruit and vegetables are banned from entering the Riverland, even with a receipt. There are still plenty of options though that you can bring in, so please check out the PIRSA website for all the updates, and we have also drawn up a shopping list to help you which we will provide when you book!
