Griffens' News

June 2017:

Welcome, and thank you for visiting our website. We hope you enjoy having a look around.

Winter is a simply magical time to enjoy a houseboat holiday.

Imagine misty mornings, calm sunny days, a campfire on the riverbank at night as you relax under the twinkling stars....

The backwaters are also brimming with life and there are so many birds around - it is such a joy to see. We can even hire you a double kayak so you can explore and discover even more about our wonderful Murray River (of course we also provide life vests for your safety. The river is a wonderful playground but you must always treat it with respect and take care at all times)

We give you plenty of tips and instruction on how to handle your houseboat during your show out lesson, and our instructors love pointing out their favourite mooring spots. You may even get told where the fish have been biting too!

If you need a relaxing break where you can reconnect with family and friends and experience a special part of South Australia's Riverland please get in touch - we'd love to welcome you on board one of our houseboats!

Cheers, Miriam

PS...We were absolutely delighted to be named the WINNER of Unique Accommodation at the South Australian Tourism Awards on Friday 4th November 2016! A great honour and we were very proud to represent SA (and our beautiful Riverland region) at the Australian Tourism Awards this year.
