Miriam's News

FEBRUARY 2017:

Welcome, and thank you for visiting our website. We hope you enjoy having a look around.

River conditions are perfect at Blanchetown for a Murray River Houseboat holiday. The high river has been and gone, refreshing the riverine environment and leaving some amazing water mark features on the majestic gums that line the banks.

It is a very special time to holiday on the Murray and experience our beautiful river, especially the backwaters which are brimming with life. There are so many water birds around and the frog chorus at night is something to behold.

You always need to respect the river though, wear a life jacket when swimming or enjoying any water activities and look out for submerged or floating hazards.

We give you plenty of tips and instruction on how to handle your houseboat, and our instructors love pointing out their favourite mooring spots. You may even get told where the fish have been biting too!

If you need a relaxing break where you can reconnect with family and friends and experience a special part of South Australia's Riverland please get in touch - we'd love to welcome you on board!

Cheers, Miriam

PS...We were absolutely delighted to be named the WINNER of Unique Accommodation at the South Australian Tourism Awards on Friday 4th November 2016! A great honour and we will now represent SA (and our beautiful Riverland region) at the Australian Tourism Awards this year.
